1 A well organised and administered club with an effective club committee, and with recognised insurance cover. Affiliation to either Suffolk County Cricket Board or Essex County Cricket Board.

2 A square that will stand independent expert inspection as arranged by the League (i.e. County Pitch Advisor from either Suffolk, Essex or Groundsman’s Association).
To provide a playing surface that has been sufficiently cut, rolled, and marked to provide a safe and enjoyable game for all participants.

3 A well maintained outfield with a continuous, well maintained boundary.

4 A clean and tidy club house/pavilion which is adjacent to the playing area and the facilities of which are available before, during, and after the match.

5 Adequate changing facilities and showers for players and officials. Divisions 1 to 3

6 Fully stocked first aid kit.

7 Sufficient car parking for players and officials. Does not necessarily need to be hard standing.

8 The provision of scoring facilities which are free from exposure to the elements, and a scoreboard that is clearly visible from the playing area, and which is updated at the end of each over (clubhouse window or score-box).

9 Provision of internet access for those scorers using the play-cricket scoring app and to include provision of 2 power sockets (via extension lead if necessary). RECOMMENDED
10 The provision of an umpire(s) from either the Umpire’s Panel or from within the club for all league fixtures. Divisions 1, 2, and 3 (when sufficient panel umpires are available) from Umpire’s Panel. Divisions 3 ( when no panel umpire available) down to Division 9 plus Sunday League – A club umpire or a player.

15 New match balls (as purchased from the League), stumps, bails, and umpire coats. A supply of used match balls to be available in case of need.

16 Adequate practice and warm up facilities for players to use before the start of matches.

17. The free provision of a range of drinks (hot or cold) prior to commencement of the match and in the break between innings for visiting officials. This is to include cricket teas for umpires, provisions for any special dietary requirements should be notified in advance by the umpire to the club. It is strongly recommended that clubs comply with Food Stardards Agency regulations.

18 An active youth and youth coaching policy to provide regular facilities for young players and regular fixtures for the youth teams they run.
