Due to the impending finalisation of the UK’s withdrawal from the EU, which will lead to a change to the employment status of EU residents and possibly to EU passport holders, the League will not be looking into any possible registration of “overseas” players until after January 1st 2021, and certainly not until we have received clarifications from the Home Office and the ECB over the position of players not normally resident within the UK, and without the necessary visas to be allowed to participate in any sport, at any level.
Once such clarification has been received then we shall consider applications from member clubs, and players. We hope everyone will understand why we have to delay making decisions at this time, in case they are not valid going into next year.
